AoE: "Area of Effect"

AoE is a cover band that specializes in anime and video game music for various nerd culture events, including, but not limited to, anime conventions and the like.

Since it is not often that Japanese artists can tour in the United States, we provide an interactive live show experience playing the best songs from everyone's favorite anime shows and video games. We are the perfect addition to conventions of any size!

AoE Founder and Band Leader

Led by Grammy nominated electric violinist, lead vocalist, and founder Felicia Rojas, this 5-6 piece rock band will wow you with old school and current tunes in both English and Japanese. Sing along to some of your favorite songs and catch a few glimpses of the 7-string electric viper violin designed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra co-founder Mark Wood!

The Nerd Band from Raider Land

Four out of the five members of AoE are  alumni of Texas Tech University! Band leader Felicia Rojas holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in violin performance from TTU.  Recent Tech grad and upright bass player Eddie Allen received a bachelor's in performance from Tech, teaches middle school band in Lamesa, and gets funky on electric bass. Charles Whitehead boogies hard on keyboard - he has a PhD in Fine Arts with a concentration in performance from Tech and tours internationally. And all-star alumnus drummer Corey Dolter goes ham at the kit. When you support AoE, you support the “Nerd Band from Raider Land”!
